 Easy to make anchor reel
« Thread Started on Apr 26, 2009, 9:00am »

Parts you will need

1..Old fishing rod butt with reel seat(had to clean the cork off it!)
2..Spool
3..75mm M10 ss bolt with two penny washers, one standard washer and a nylock nut with a 15mm piece of pipe for a sleeve
4..Sleeve to go through the spool(I used an old hollow plastic float)
5..Sleeve to make the handle(I used a section of old Zziplex butt, hollow carbon)
6..Shrink tubing
7..couple of washers made from plastic chopping board

Main handle assembly, note that part of the reel seat has been retained to provide a sleeve with a screw thread for holding it all together

Main handle inserted, with screw to hold

Original Zziplex rubber grip placed on main handle a couple of layers of shrink tube on the winder and load with 100m of paracord
